Hole of the Month

Arthur Hills, ASGCA
The Golf Club of Georgia - Alpharetta, Georgia
6 Hole • Par 3

Designer Notes:

This beautiful par three fell into place from the beginning. It was one of the first holes to become apparent in putting together the routing for the Lakeside Course. An old farm pond was expanded to create a beautiful and strategic water feature. The tees and green were built into the adjacent hillside, near the water. The green features three cupping areas; one in front over the simple bunker, one along the left side, and one in the upper back. The bunker was kept simple to reflect the calm, water mood. Can you find the continuous cart path from tee to green and beyond? -- Arthur Hills, July 1996 The Golf Club of Georgia is located just north of Atlanta in Alpharetta, Georgia.
