On January 23, 2010, The Boston Globe ran an obituary for the late Phil Wogan, ASGCA Fellow, in which correspondent Marvin Pave writes that Wogan "combined a love of the land with empathy for those who would eventually play on it."

The piece includes thoughts and memories of Wogan's former business partner, of the owner of a course Wogan designed, of his daughter, and of the executive director of ASGCA. Pave also incorporates quotes of Wogan from a 2002 Globe article.
