Biography

We are an environmental and agronomic service company dedicated to aiding the design and management of environmentally sound golf courses. This is accomplished through Integrated Golf Course Management Plans® based on IMP, water quality risk assessments and risk management, and water quality monitoring. All of our work is supported by strong expert testimony to aid permit approval.

These tools will help you take a proactive approach to environmental stewardship, implemented in the form of risk-assessed Best Management Practices (BMPs).

We are a multi-disciplinary firm that specializes in predicting, monitoring, and preventing/managing water quality impacts. It has received research grants from the USGA and the GCSAA in the areas of risk management, water quality monitoring, and computer simulation modeling of pesticides in turf runoff and leachate. We have done work in at least 20 states, three Canadian provinces, and China

ETS has expertise in turf agronomy, environmental chemistry, risk assessment, hydrogeology, geology, environmental hydrology, ground water and surface water modeling, and aquatic and terrestrial species impacts. The president of ETS, Stuart Cohen, has 35 years of experience in the industry, which includes 11 years with the U.S. EPA.
