Bob Lohmann, ASGCA and his son Matt recently undertook an aggressive, 3-month renovation project for the 19 green complexes at Jefferson City County Club.

Under the Lohmann’s managing, Golf Creations, the sister company of Lohmann Golf Designs (LGD), improved green surrounds and greenside bunkers, rerouted fairways, rebuilt fairway bunkers, and added 15 new tees. Aged bentgrass and poa anuua were replaced by state-of-the-art turf, and putting surfaces were planted with modern A-series bent. The team also built a new re-circulating water feature on the 15th hole.

The improvements stretch the layout to 7,100 yards and were completed for roughly $1.9 million. Club president Mike Winter said, “We were very impressed with the quality of the Lohmann’s work and attention to detail. The company has been easy to work with, extremely helpful and patient with our members.”
