The editors of Golf Inc. magazine have selected Hurdzan/Fry Environmental Golf Design as the winner in the “Product-Service Provider” category of the 2009 Green Awards.

The Green Awards competition recognizes golf courses, operators, developers, vendors, companies, and associations that have adopted programs, practices, and products aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and responsible environmental stewardship.

This design approach has not only become Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry‘s hallmark, but also their lifestyle. For example, they have tried to make their offices environmentally friendly by utilizing energy-saving lights and appliances and non-irrigated landscaping and artificial turf green. According to Dr. Michael Hurdzan, “Environmental stewardship is something we live and not just talk about. It is gratifying to earn Golf Inc.’s recognition, for it validates our efforts. Perhaps we can serve as an inspiration for others to do the same.”
