Algie Pulley attended the University of Virginia and in 1962 received a Bachelor's of Civil Engineering. He then joined the United States Coast Guard and served until 1966. He has worked in the golf industry since 1967 in development, design, management, and planning golf courses and support facilities. Algie believes that the focus in golf course design should be building positive human relationships through golf by establishing a pleasant, positive attitude beginning with the management staff and carried out by all employees. Aware of the changing times and needs in the golf course industry, Algie puts forth innovative solutions and calls upon a host of specialists in all areas of creation and operation of a golf course to do so.
