Andy graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 1995, but not before studying Urban Planning for a semester in Copenhagen, DK. It was also while still attending Arkansas that Andy began his career with Wadsworth Golf Construction. In 1995, he joined Jerry Slack and Associates as a design associate and later joined Graves & Pascuzzo as a design associate in 1997. It was in 2003 that Andy ventured out on his own and founded Staples Golf Resource Group. From the beginning, Staples Golf has been an industry leader in sustainable golf course architecture, and natural, energy-efficient design.

With 20 years of experience and over 125 projects around the world, the importance of a sustainable golf facility has formed Andy's design philosophy. The result of such emphasis has recently produced his Community Links™ Concept; "A paradigm shift in the way a golf facility is viewed within the community." Stressing the importance of resource and cost conservation, while driving revenue through increased community engagement, the Community Links concept is off to a great start with his warmly received Rockwind Community Links.
