University of Georgia, Landscape Architecture
Holly Springs, NC 27540
Growing up in New England, Brian's exposure and early influences to golf course architecture were from playing and working on the many Donald Ross and A.W. Tillinghast golf courses that painted the surrounding landscape. It was there his appreciation for nature and the game began. After receiving an Associate's in Applied Science degree from the Southern University of New York, Cobleskill in Turfgrass Science, Brian continued his education and graduated from the University of Georgia in Environmental Design/Landscape Architecture. He began his career as a land planner focusing on community and resort development. It was there that his passion for the game of golf was rekindled and began his career as a golf course architect. Now with over 30 years of golf course design experience, which include working with some of the great golf course architects of the modern time; Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Rick Robbins, Brian has had the privilege of creating award-winning projects around the world, including South America, Southeast Asia, Eastern and Western Europe and currently throughout China. Brian is a full member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), the United States Golf Association (USGA), North Carolina Golf Panel and the Carolina Golf Course Superintendent Association (CGCSA). He has served on the ASGCA Board of Governors and was co-recipient of the 2014 Design Excellence Award.
