An ASGCA member since 1979, Dave Bennett's professional career has included more than 100 projects located across 14 states, Mexico, Canada and Venezuela. Dave developed skills on large scale projects early in his professional development and several of his golf courses have achieved both regional and national acclaim, including projects in the United States and Canada. Dave was both the golf course architect and project master planner on numerous projects. Those most notably completed and built out are Prestonwood Country Club (The Hills Course) in Plano, Tex.; Cimarron Country Club in Mission, Tex.; Desert Hills Country Club in Green Valley, Ariz.; and Country Hills Golf Club (both the "Ridge & Links" courses) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Dave wrote the Law to License Landscape Architects in Texas and worked many years for its enactment into law. He takes pride in the advancement for Landscape Architecture in his native Texas and of having the license number in Texas as "007." He has also actively participated on design development teams located in Australia, China and the Bahamas. In recent decades, Dave has limited his project involvement to only projects in which he can personally control both golf course design and construction management.
