Since graduating from Penn State with a degree in Landscape Architecture, Dave Heatwole has been actively involved in golf course design. For over two decades he worked with the legendary golfer/designer Jack Nicklaus designing courses throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. He served as the senior designer for Nicklaus Design on a number of award-winning courses as well as many courses that have hosted professional golf tournaments. Dave founded Heatwole Golf Design in 2002 while continuing to work as a design consultant for Nicklaus Design on several projects. His firm focuses on course renovations, restoration, master planning,  original designs, as well as practice and short game improvement areas.
