Damian Pascuzzo, ASGCA Past President, spent the first 21 years of his career working alongside, and then partnering with, famed designer Robert Muir Graves. During that period, they worked together on dozens of new projects and remodeled many others throughout the US and selected parts of the world. In 2003, Damian began working with PGA TOUR professional and two-time Ryder Cup player, Steve Pate on the first of two courses at Monarch Dunes. The pair developed a strong working relationship over the next several years and committed to working together full time in 2006. Together, they have produced award-winning and financially successful projects in the US and Japan. Their recently completed renovation of the Sumire Course at Murasaki CC has been selected to host the 2020 Japan Open. Beyond new and remodeled courses, Damian has worked with many clients on water conservation and turf reduction programs to meet the new regulations facing many courses. They have also broadened their services to include Landscape Architecture in response to demand from clients. Both Steve and Damian continue to be strong advocates for alternative golf facilities that can attract new players to the game and meet today's changing lifestyles.
