After using a golf scholarship at Daytona Beach Community College, George went on to the University of Florida to study Horticulture & Architectural Drawing, just as his father Lloyd did. Since 1975, George has worked together with his father, making drafting plans and scaled drawings. In fact, his concept and detail drawings are well renowned in golf, though they are still easy to interpret.
Before the conception of Clifton Ezell Clifton Golf Design Group, George represented several leading suppliers of fertilizers, chemicals, and seed to the Florida Golf Market. Today he is part of a small, dedicated team that provides its clients with a personal touch; the team members' personalities and expertise mesh, making a thorough and responsive design team for each client.
