Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Landscape Architecture
Grant attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. After graduation, he began working for Landmark Land Company of California until 1990. From 1990 to 1994 he worked as design coordinator for Golden Bear International (now Nicklaus Design). In 1994 he left Golden Bear for Landmark Golf Company where he worked as design coordinator until 1997. In 1997 he started working as a senior design associate for Brian Curley Design Group which turned into Schmidt–Curley Design in 1998. Today, he is the lead designer for Schmidt–Curley Design and has over 20 years of experience.
