Born in Pennsylvania, Jim attended Penn State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture in 1973. Before graduation he starting working for Killian and Nugent Golf Course Architects as a staff architect, doing mainly field work. He did this until 1979 when he started working for Philadelphia Turf Company as a designer and irrigation manager. In 1986 Jim started his own company called Jim Blaukovitch Associates and he continues to work as Principal there today. He prides himself and his company on their ability to meet the challenges of each project with conviction and determination. The result is a finished product that provides all involved with a tremendous sense of accomplishment and appropriate recognition.
