John Colligan is Principal of Colligan Golf Design (CGD), based in Arlington, Texas. He holds a BS in Architecture/Environmental Design and a Master's of Landscape Architecture, both from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been a member of the North Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association since 1986 and serves on their Board of Directors.
John's experience as a land planner has been a natural complement to the many golf course/housing development projects he has been involved with. CGD has an extensive list of Municipal and Country Club clients who can all be contacted for references.
In addition, CGD has carved out a special niche of renovating and restoring historic golf courses, all of which were designed by the most influential golf course architects of the past 100 years. These include A.W. Tillinghast, Dr. Alister Mackenzie, Tom Bendelow, John Bredemus, Perry Maxwell, Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr., Pete Dye and Ralph Plummer.
