In 2004, Joel took a full-time position with Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest & Associates in Toledo, OH, after having completed an internship with the firm in 2003.  Soon after starting, he, along with the entire firm, toured several of the most renowned and historic courses in Scotland to gain a better appreciation and understanding of their important role in golf course architecture and design.  Within his six years with the firm, he had the opportunity to work on various aspects of numerous projects in various locations throughout the country, and world.  With his extensive experience and attention to detail, he was able to then provide drawing production services to both Drew Rogers and Chris Wilczynski after they had both started up their own firms in 2010.  In 2021, Joel was offered a full-time position to join JDR as a Design Associate.
