Jason Sloan is a strategic and creative golf course architect and professional business leader with a passion for the design and construction of golf courses. His desire for the profession began at the age of 13, when Jason first began to learn the game of golf and soon thereafter started sketching golf holes for his backyard. He continued his formal education in the pursuit of becoming a golf course architect by attending Penn State University earning a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) degree. Jason studied golf course architecture at the Edinburgh College of Art and the University of Edinburgh earning a Masters of Science in Golf Course Architecture degree (MScGCA) with distinction. While in Scotland, he studied many of the great classic golf courses of Scotland, Ireland and England, learning how the strategic elements of the course are intertwined with the natural beauty of the linksland to create a unique experience for the golfer.

For 16 years, while working for Certified Golf Course Builder, Frontier Golf, Jason has been designing and building golf courses at many of the top courses in the United States. He has not only been responsible for the design of many projects on these courses, but Jason has led the projects from initial concept through the design phase, project budgeting and managed the construction from start to finish to exceed clients’ expectations from preliminary vision to final implementation. Jason’s goal for each design is to create a fun and memorable golf experience for every golfer regardless of ability, while respecting and integrating with the natural environment
