Jim graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture in 1999.  Prior to obtaining his degree, Jim spent his high school and college years caddying and working on golf course maintenance and construction crews with the specific goal of becoming a golf course architect.  In May of 1999, Jim secured his first job in the profession with Bob Cupp and Billy Fuller at Cupp Design, Inc.  After two exciting years with Cupp Design, Jim was hired by Nicklaus Design in 2001.  As the Asia market began to regain momentum again in 2003, Nicklaus Design offered Jim a position in the newly opened Hong Kong office where he resided from 2004-2012.  During this time, Jim helped with plan production prior to becoming a design coordinator and in 2008 was promoted to Design Associate.  After spending 2012-2021 residing in Manila, Philippines servicing projects in Asia for Nicklaus Design as a Senior Design Associate, Jim has returned to the Nicklaus Design office in Palm Beach Gardens, FL to help with projects in North America while continuing his efforts on projects in the Asia region.
