Kevin was a competitive golfer from a young age and knew from that experience that he wanted to be a golf course designer. In 1994 he graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies. While in school, Kevin worked on drafting, estimating, and field construction among other duties for Landscaped Unlimited. In 1995 Kevin began working for Ault, Clark & Associates where he was an Associate Architect until December of 1998. In January of 1999, he started working as an Associate Architect for Richard M Phelps Ltd. Continuing his relationship with the Phelps family, in 2007 he became a Senior Architect of Phelps – Atkinson Golf Course Design. Throughout his career Kevin has completed five new courses that are currently open for play and has consulted on more than forty golf course projects.
