Taylor knew from a young age that he wanted to design golf courses. At age eight he would draw golf courses on the back of paper placemats and at age 13 he truly realized that golf course design was for him when he received a tour of ASGCA member Gary Linn's office. Gary was a Kansas State grad who at the time worked for Robert Trent Jones II. Following his dream, he attended Kansas State University and earned a Bachelors in Landscape Architecture in 2002. While still in school Taylor landed an internship with ASGCA member Perry Dye who hired him on full time after graduation. He currently works as Lead Designer for Dye Designs.
