Erik T. Larsen, ASGCA Past President holds a BS in Landscape Architecture/Horticulture from North Carolina State University. Erik worked for Arnold Palmer and ASGCA past pres Ed Seay from 1983-2005. He designed nearly 100 golf courses in 23 states and 25 countries for Palmer Course Design Company. In 2005 Erik moved to Orlando Florida to become Executive VP of Arnold Palmer Design Company. There he ran all company operations for Mr. Palmer until starting his own firm, LarsenGolf, in 2011.
Erik is designing a new course in Vientiane, Laos and converting stand alone courses to golf communities in Foz do Iguassu, Brasil and Atlantic Beach, Florida.
A versatile Golf Course Architect, Erik has produced award winning courses in Classic, Natural, Links and Parkland genres. Several have hosted Professional events. He is a pioneer of land planning solutions that 'free up' extra land on golf courses for alternative golf uses and/or 'right size' neighborhood developments while improving the golf course.
An ASGCA member since 1990, Erik has served on the Executive Committee, Society's Public Relations and Suppliers Directory Committees and on the Board of Governors, ASGCA Foundation Board 2024-25 and ASGCA Foundation Executive Committee 2025-2028.
He also sits on the Recreation Board of the Urban Land Institute.
