Martz, ASGCA and Bliss, ASGCA advance from Regular to Fellow status

Two members of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) achieved Fellow member status at the recent ASGCA Annual Meeting in La Jolla, California. Those named Fellows are Vicki Martz, Jacksonville, Florida; and Fred Bliss, Santa Rosa, California.

 
ASGCA Foundation Awards Scholarships to The First Tee of San Diego Students

The American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) Foundation recognized the next generation of golfers by awarding financial scholarships to two high school student-athletes as part of the recent ASGCA Annual Meeting in La Jolla, California.

 
Three elected Associate members of the American Society of Golf Course Architects

The American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) welcomed Nathan Crace, Chad Goetz and Thad Layton as new Associate members to its ranks at the group’s recent 69th Annual Meeting in La Jolla, California. Their elections increase the number of ASGCA members who practice around the world to nearly 180.

 
ASGCA Past President Jones Jr. continues water commitment at Contra Costa CC

ASGCA Past President Robert Trent Jones Jr., has completed an extensive remodel of Contra Costa Country Club (CCCC) in Pleasant Hill, California. In an effort to revitalize the club, improve playing conditions, and reduce current water consumption, CCCC hired RTJ II in advance of its 90th anniversary to completely remodel the golf course in the spirit of Arthur Vernon Macan’s original design philosophies.
