When Drew Rogers, ASGCA, was brought on to lead the renovation at Old Elm Club in Highland Park, Illinois, he knew communication with members and leaders would be a key to a successful project. Just how important was it? Brad Klein and Golfweek magazine took a look.
Klein highlighted the working relationship between Rogers, General Manager Kevin Marion and Superintendent Curtis James. Rogers called it, “About as perfect a working relationship as you could hope to have on a restoration.”
Also reported by Klein: “Rogers was allowed a free hand to plan and implement hat became an ambitious transformation of the club. Everything was coordinated by Marion and James, but it was their job, not Rogers’, to do the in-house management. Rogers could focus on the scope of the work.”
