Originally designed in 1989, Deer Creek Golf Club, part of The Landings golf community in Skidaway Island, Georgia, has been completely redesigned and rebuilt by Tom Marzolf, ASGCA of Fazio Golf Course Designers, Inc.
The renovation project included the replacement of the irrigation system with computerized control and irrigation sprinklers, which optimize the Club’s limited water resources. Five tee pods were also constructed on each hole to assist in a more equitable yardage distribution. In addition, the course boasts new shade and drought tolerant grasses, repositioned fairway bunkers, concrete cart paths, and new hole location options on larger, more receptive greens.
