Randy Dickerson of CrestviewBulletin.com recently reported that Blackstone Golf Course in Defuniak Springs, Florida, opened with the hope of getting young people to play golf.
Bob Bonezzi, a local restaurateur, is the driving force of the new course, which was designed by Bill Amick, ASGCA Fellow, and he is doing everything he can to make the course affordable and playable, in an effort to attract young people to the game. The course is just over 6,000 yards and was designed for a 20-plus handicapper. According to Bonezzi, “It’s very golfer friendly.”
