Just one year after the renovation work of Bill Bergin, ASGCA, Dunwoody Country Club in Atlanta, has full membership, including a waiting list for the first time in five years.
The 2013 renovation covered all areas of the golf course, new greens complexes featuring MiniVerde bermudagrass; strategic and style modifications to the golf course bunkering; the leveling of all tees; and a significant amount of tree work, including removal and pruning.
The course – originally designed by Willard Byrd – first opened in 1966 and has gone through gradual updates over the years. Improvements began with the installation of an automatice irrigation system in 1982. The driving range was enlarges in 1984 and again in 2001 along with installation of a new irrigation system. The greens and fairways were restructured in 1996. The putting green, practice facility and an indoor practice/teaching facility were updated in 2003.
