Bobby combines the precision of a craftsman with the fiscal responsibility of a businessman, a rare pairing that represents his strategic difference in new golf course designs, renovations and real estate development.
As a teenager in S.C., Bobby's architectural career was born when he converted his father's bean fields into Weed Hill Driving Range.
His professional career began in the 1970's working closely under Pete Dye. Bobby was the Certified Superintendent at TPC Sawgrass from 1983-87, then served as the PGA TOUR’s first in-house architect from 1987-94.
Bobby Weed Golf Design was founded in 1994. The firm is known for their personal hands-on approach, while strategically incorporating visual appeal, playability and sustainability.
