A native of northern California, Gary Brawley grew up playing golf and developed a passion for the game. Since early on, Gary knew his calling was going to be in the golf industry. In 1991, Gary began a pursuit of his career aspirations and attended Colorado State University. In 1995, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture graduating with a number of awards and recognitions.

In 1995, Gary began his career with Golfplan - Fream & Dale as an apprentice designer. While with Golfplan, Gary was exposed to a variety of projects both nationally and internationally. Gary continued to further develop his knowledge of the golf course industry when he joined the Southwest Division of Wadsworth Golf Construction. In the span of two years, Gary was involved in the construction of 20 golf courses throughout the United States. He was directly responsible for the estimating and purchasing for these projects. 

In 1998, Gary joined Gary Panks Associates as an Associate Designer. Gary has been involved in fourteen projects and project architect for five of these courses. Gary is an excellent communicator with a strong commitment to detail, which makes him a valuable asset in all phases of design and construction.

After 10 years at Tripp Davis and Associates and joining the ASGCA in 2014, Gary established Gary Brawley Golf Design in 2015.
