Kevin Ramsey began his career in Golf Course Architecture in 1989 after graduating from the University of California, Davis with degrees in Landscape Architecture and Economics. Initially being hired by the JMP Golf Design Group, Kevin spent most of his time split between Asia and developing a domestic remodeling campaign for the firm in California.
In 1996, Kevin joined Walter Stewart. For 3 years, Kevin worked closely with Walter and learned a tremendous amount from the overall planning side of the profession while still working on golf design with the firm. It was then in 1999 that he joined Golfplan and subsequently purchased the firm with partner David Dale in 2006.
Kevin and the Golfplan team continue to expand golf’s footprint worldwide with unique memorable courses. Their focus on creating design solutions that are specific to each piece of property with an understanding of the economics, climate, and culture of the region has set them apart from the competition.
