JacklinGolf has signed on to sponsor educational programming and resource development for the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA). The company, a subsidiary of Simplot, is the second in the golf industry—joining The Toro Company—to commit to the Major Partner category in ASGCA’s new supplier partner program, which supports ASGCA’s educational initiatives.
“We are very happy to establish this relationship with JacklinGolf and are confident that our members and the golf industry at large will benefit from the educational resources that we’ll develop together,” says Doug Carrick, ASGCA Vice President. “When we began talking with JacklinGolf about this type of programming and support, they immediately understood that we were looking for a partnership. We look forward to working with them to help ASGCA members learn more about grass and environmental issues, and to help JacklinGolf staffers understand what golf course architects need to do their jobs better.”
The Major Partnership level of support helps ASGCA develop educational programming and tools that will help ASGCA members work more effectively in golf development and remodeling. JacklinGolf and ASGCA are currently planning a variety of initiatives covering environmental issues.
“ASGCA members have always been a focus for JacklinGolf, and this agreement just formalizes a relationship we’ve considered important for a long time,” notes JacklinGolf’s Vice President Rick Elyea. “It’s great to be able to work with ASGCA leaders and members on education that will benefit the architects, our company and the industry at large.”
