Applications are being accepted for the 2023 Wadsworth Scholar Program. This program will select two college students of junior rank or higher, as well as two non-students showing an interest and aptitude for golf course development to receive a cash award and attend a portion of the ASGCA Annual Meeting in Milwaukee this fall. ASGCA Foundation has made updates to the Wadsworth Scholar Program based on the increased funds contributed by Wadsworth Golf Construction and Wadsworth Golf Charities Foundation. Beginning this year, professionals who are in the early stages of their careers – as well as current college students – are now eligible for the $2,500 scholarship, as well as the opportunity to spend time at the ASGCA Annual Meeting.

As the scholarship application states: This program is intended to encourage exploration of golf course architecture as a career path, for both students and those already involved in the golf industry, by attending an ASGCA Annual Meeting. ASGCAF hopes to support those who would like to enter the profession with scholarship funding and access to golf course architects/professional development, and to help its members get to know people who could one day be colleagues or employees.
