ASGCA members Dana Fry and Jason Straka have announced the formation of a new golf course design partnership, Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design.

After working together for nearly 20 years the pair said they are excited to bring their design experience, talent and renowned client dedication to this new venture.

The pair will collaborate on all projects. Fry will reside in Hong Kong, China and Straka will remain in the United States. The new company will have associates based in Lisbon, Portugal, Milan, Italy, Beijing, China and Porto Alegre, Brazil.

The partners will also continue to serve their existing clients under Hurdzan/Fry Environmental Golf Course Design along with Dr. Michael Hurdzan, ASGCA. Fry and Straka acknowledged and thanked their former partner and mentor, Dr. Hurdzan, for many years of leadership, friendship and support.

During their tenure with Hurdzan/Fry, Fry and Straka’s work included the co-design of Erin Hills GC with Mike Hurdzan and Ron Whitten, which will host the 2017 USGA Open Championship and has hosted the 2011 USGA Amateur Championship. Straka serves ont he ASGCA Board of Governors and teaches numerous professional courses worldwide in environmental golf course design. Fry is active in Asian golf leadership to further develop the sport of golf in non-traditional golf markets.
