The new White Stone Hot Spring Golf Club has opened on Hainan Island in China. The course is the 14th on the island to be desigend by ASGCA members Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley.
“Golf Course Architectture” magazine reports, “The White Stone Hot Spring project was led by Curley and is located near the Baishi Ridge Scenic Area, a popular tourist destination outside the city of Qionghai.
“‘Hallmarks of our firm, like wide playing corridors, strong angles of approach, strategic bunkering and maintenance-friendly design are on full display at White Stone Hot Spring,’ said Curley. “The layout is very user-friendly and its setting among lush, tropical vegetation creates a botanical oasis for island golfers.'”
