Ivy Munion, past president of the American Society of Irrigation Consultants, died May 23. Munion had been battling cancer the past several years.

ASIC reported:

“ASIC will always be grateful for her contributions to the industry as an untiring advocate for responsible water use in the landscape and for her profession. She was a trail blazer, starting in the industry in 1989 as a draftsperson. As a self-professed irrigation geek, she spent a lifetime of learning and giving back to her profession, and was the co-owner, then sole owner of ISC Group, a consulting firm in Livermore, California. She was the first female President of ASIC – a role that brought her great satisfaction even while fighting her illness.”
