In the augural edition of “By Design” magazine, an electronic magazine focusing on the development of better and more sustainable golf facilities, author Henry DeLozier identifies golf as “A Changing Game.”
DeLozier discusses four ways he proposes the game is changing. He writes that planners and designers across the globe are returning to the fundamentals of the game. In addition, he proposes that investors and developers of golf-related assets have recalibrated their understanding of golf-driven real estate value to reduce or eliminate the previous extravagances that did not equate to increased earnings.
According to the author, golfers are refocused on enjoying the game, as they return to playing the game for the sake of the game. Finally, DeLozier writes that the social value of golf in virtually every nation has grown more robust.
