In the March 2011 digital edition of Golf Course Industry Magazine, writer Pat Jones features Dana Fry, ASGCA in an article regarding Fry’s decision to relocate to Asia.

Fry decided to move Hong Kong after globetrotting for two years to reinvent Hurdzan Fry Environmental Golf Design as a leading international firm. Course development in China, Vietnam, and India is booming, and Fry is pursuing his passion for golf course design 5,000 miles from home.

In the article, Fry mentions that while the sights and experiences have been fantastic, he most cherishes the great friendships he has developed all over the world. He has learned how important it is to make friends first with potential clients, as it can take several months before business is even discussed.
