The National Golf Foundation reports golf’s growth in China continues with abandon. The latest annual figures show participation up 16% in 2012 over 2011, and 38% of players hitting the links at least eight times per year.

The number of rounds played in 2012 stood at 11.5 million, an increase of 8%.

The data comes from “The 2012 China Golf Report,” a 140-page market research report developed by NGF-affiliate Forward Management Group. According to NGF:
