“Golf Course Architecture” reports Gil Hanse, ASGCA, a member of the ASGCA Board of Governors, has been tabbed to design Streamsong Black, the third 18-hole course at Streamsong Resort, Bowling Green, Florida, The course is scheduled to open in fall 2017.

The new course, according to a resort press release, “Will feature abundant sand, elevation changes, native grasses and stunning views of ridges and the surrounding landscape on a grand scale.”

Streamsong Black will complement the existing Streamsong Red, designed by Bill Coore, ASGCA and Ben Crenshaw, and Streamsong Blue at the resort, located 90 minutes from Orlando, Florida.

“We’re honored to be a part of such an amazing venue and to be able to develop a layout alongside Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue, which were designed by the architects I admire the most,” Hanse said.

“Streamsong is about an authentic golf experience, and the natural environment and landscape at Streamsong is simply like nothing we’ve experienced. It’s one of the very best. We view this as a huge opportunity for our team, and one that we’re very excited about. I can’t wait to get started.”
