After an extensive renovation directed by Michael Beebe, ASGCA, Ironwood Golf Course recently re-opened for public play, reports Golf Course Industry. The par 72, 6,607-yard course is located in Gainesville, Florida.

According to the publication, the renovation improvements included new greens, tees, bunkers, irrigation, and extensive fairway drainage, cart path repair, and selective tree removal.

Beebe said, “My goal at Ironwood was to improve the infrastructure of the course by using the latest technology in turf grasses, greens construction, drainage, and irrigation. … The improvements were designed with an emphasis on making the golf course more playable for a wider range of golfers, including women, seniors, high handicappers, and beginners.”
