Past ASGCA President Bob Lohmann took to the pages of Golf Course Industry magazine to discuss why a Cost-Benefit Action Plan (CBAP) is essential to any renovation project, and the importance of ID-ing cost centers.

Lohmann writes that the major innovation of a CBAP is its emphasis on economic efficiences, enabled by design. He also explains that the CBAP process is directly tied to developing standards for each of the cost centers, such as greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and so on.

Lohmann concludes the article with four real-world examples of courses where the CBAP approach is already working.
