The series consists of four brochures, all printed in full color, which, together, describe the process of identifying a parcel of land for golf and transforming it into a well-designed and well-constructed layout. The brochures cover “The Development Process,” “Selecting a Golf Course Architect,” “Master Planning” and “The Remodeling Process.” All the brochures were written by members of ASGCA and are regularly updated to reflect current best practices and market conditions.
The brochures may be used individually to educate audiences who are interested in a specific aspect of golf course development. For example, a club that is beginning its investigation into whether a renovation is feasible may find the pieces on master planning, selecting a golf course architect and the remodeling process useful. Or, a municipality that is considering development of a parcel of land for golf and/or recreational green space may focus on the piece on the development process. For those investigating all areas of development, the series provides a good overview of the process.
The “Q & A” series is available free-of-charge from ASGCA. Or, single copies may be ordered for mail delivery by request here or by calling (262) 786-5960. Multiple copies may also be ordered for a fee; call ASGCA for more information.
