The Dye Designs Group family has added to their world-wide portfolio with the opening of Exclusiv Golf Deva at Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Resort & Spa in Bourail, New Caledonia in Oceania. The project was headed by Cynthia Dye, ASGCA.

“I feel very fortunate that I was able to create something special for the Southern Province of New Caledonia and accomplish their goal of a world class golf venue,” Dye said.

Located in a beachside valley of the Domaine de Deva tribal land, the 7,302 yard routing intertwines along a stream that terminates into the Pacific Ocean. Full of lagoons and wetland, the natural terrain of this course places value on the shot placement. The holes are bordered by the lush forest of Deva Domain, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Of the project Dye says, “this site offered a rare opportunity to design a golf course right on the Pacific Ocean within a pristine environment. This is a piece of land that one only dreams of coming across for a golf project. The golf holes fit naturally into the geography.” Signature holes 17 and 18 connect the course to the ocean leaving what Dye hopes will be a “very memorable” golf experience.

The 18-hole, par 72 championship course took four years to complete. Exclusiv Golf Deva is associated with the 5-star Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Resort & Spa, a bungalow style island resort, and includes a world-class practice facility. Beginning with this year’s Pro-Am Day on Sept. 17, Exclusiv Golf Deva will share the hosting of the annual PGA Tour Australasia event – The South Pacific Open Championship – a tournament that has served as a breeding ground for the Tour’s rising stars since it was established in 2011.
