Toro announces the launch of NSN® Connect Plus, a new service that remotely monitors the status of a golf course’s Lynx™ Control System software and computer hardware to ensure that their irrigation system is running properly. The addition of remote monitoring allows NSN Connect Plus to expand the existing capabilities of NSN Connect, a service that gives golf course superintendents the ability to easily access and control their central control system anywhere and anytime.
“Toro’s NSN Connect Plus further enhances the current capabilities of NSN Connect and gives golf course superintendents even more complete service, control and support of their Toro Lynx Control System,” said David Angier, senior marketing manager, Toro Golf Irrigation. “With NSN Connect Plus, in addition to anywhere, anytime access and control of irrigation systems, Toro is now able to remotely monitor the status of the irrigation system, and can automatically notify superintendents via e-mail or text alerts of potential problems or system alarm conditions. These problems can then be quickly addressed by the customer or by a member of the NSN support staff.”
One of the biggest benefits of NSN Connect Plus is its ability to proactively detect irrigation problems before they occur. The program automatically sends e-mail or text notifications to golf course superintendents alerting them of potential issues, including computer, software or hardware failures, unexpected system re-boots, challenges with Lynx or the computer going offline, as well as issues with temperature, voltage, fan speed or the hard drive. NSN Connect Plus also sends automatic, scheduled alerts to remind superintendents of general irrigation system maintenance requirements.
“The goal of NSN Connect Plus is to expand on the current features and capabilities of NSN Connect and give superintendents easier, more instant and more direct access to their irrigation control systems,” added Angier. “NSN Connect Plus helps superintendents intercept problems with their irrigation system before they become major issues. And, NSN Connect Plus is backed by the proactive service and support of NSN, providing golf course superintendents with the quality support and service they need to keep their irrigation system, and their course, up and running.”
In addition to its ability to proactively alert superintendents of potential problems, NSN Connect Plus allows superintendents to chat directly with dedicated NSN support staff members and it gives those staff members the capability to react quickly to failing irrigation computer systems and software.
NSN Connect Plus is available to all customers who use Toro’s Lynx Control System and is available free of charge for one year following the purchase of Lynx.
