A major renovation at the 18-hole Country Club of Winter Haven (Orlando, Fla.) has been completed and the course reopened. The project was led by ASGCA Past President Rees Jones and Bill Bergin, ASGCA Associate.

“Golf Course Archtiecture” magazine reports work included updates to bunkers, tee boxes, fairways and rough areas.

“Significant work was also done on the course’s greens, with each being rebuilt to USGA standards and using champion bermudagrass.

“Five new holes have been built and many have been moved or re-shaped.

“New irrigation and drainage has been installed, new cart paths have been built, and the bridges on the course have been restored.

“Extensive clubhouse renovations have also taken place.”
