Robert McNeil, ASGCA Associate has designed the renovation for Orchard Hills Golf Course in the city of Paramus in Bergen County, New Jersey. The enhancements to the 9-hole course will include 2 new holes, 23 new bunkers, new and expanded tee complexes, cart path improvements, and drainage and irrigation expansion.
The new features will embrace the remnants of some original Tillinghast styling from the 1920s scattered throughout the site. Tillinghast designed the renowned Ridgewood Country Club, which is directly adjacent to Orchard Hills.
McNeil says, “It is very exciting to continue our relationship with Bergen County and especially here at Orchard Hills as the course offers a fun 9-hole experience for players of all abilities. I believe it is the 9-hole layout that will be one of the offerings that keeps golf alive as players continue to be challenged with the time and dollars needed to play the game.”
