One of the game’s greatest players designed his first course as a 4th grader in Kansas. Today, his designs always include thinking first of the individual golfer walking his course. “The thrill of being a golf course designer is having people who play your course want to come back and play it again and again,” said Tom Watson, ASGCA. “If you can make that happen, then you’ve accomplished your goal as a designer.”
