Position Objective

ASGCA Director of Outreach will support ASGCA’s missions by:
• Engaging with golf course architects and those who are involved in golf course projects
• Organizing relevant educational programs and golf events
• Helping those in the golf industry understand ASGCA membership and offerings
• Developing partnerships with Allied Associations and other supporters

Duties and Responsibilities
The following list is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and
responsibilities as necessary.
• Advance the goals, benefits and positive impact of ASGCA and its members
• Interact daily with ASGCA members to help them make the most of their memberships
• Work with the entire golf course architecture community, golf course industry and game
of golf to advance the profession, industry and game
• Plan education at tradeshows, regional outings, study tours and other events
• Assist ASGCA staff to execute communications, events, committee work and more
• Engage with ASGCA Leadership Partners, Sponsors and Industry Providers to help them
leverage their investments in ASGCA and improve the golf course industry
• Represent ASGCA at industry events
• Deepen golf association relationships and with other golf course architecture societies

Additional responsibilities could include:
• Support ASGCA’s “Associate” program and those who participate in it
• Organize education for professional groups, such as GCSAA, NGCOA, CMAA and other
groups and their chapters
• Build relationships with golf course architects who are not ASGCA members
• Work with ASGCA Foundation leadership to help oversee existing and new programs
and projects. These include research, publishing, events, scholarships and
communications. Also help elevate Foundation giving through fundraising support

Position Requirements
• Knowledge and experience in the golf course industry and golf course architecture
• Strong written and oral communications ability
• Strong organizational skill
• Ability to lead and take direction from volunteers
• High level of professional integrity; ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust
• Frequent travel is anticipated

Additional Notes
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least five years of work experience in the golf industry required for application
• Compensation: commensurate with experience
• This position offers health insurance, paid vacation and holidays
• The successful candidate will not be required to work from ASGCA Headquarters
• We hope to fill this position as soon as January, 2022
