Traditional. Classical. Memorable. These are just some of the words that describe the world-class golf experience offered at 360 Country Club that will celebrate its’ Grand Opening on May 14, 2012. It is destined to become one of Korea’s finest new high-end daily fee golf courses as it offers a private club experience in a beautiful mountain setting.

The 18-hole, par 72 championship layout provides five sets of tees ranging from over 7,036 yards from the pro tees to 5,015 yards from the forward tees. This unique and spectacular layout is designed to provide a challenging, exciting and memorable golf experience for the discerning and sophisticated golf community of Korea.

Brian Costello, Principal of JMP GOLF DESIGN GROUP, has been working on the project since the inception of the design process in the summer of 2006. “360 Country Club addresses a niche in the Korean market by providing a genuine private club experience at a public venue. Each player is made to feel like a member-for-a-day with all of the services, amenities and exceptional golf values typically found at an exclusive membership club. There is tremendous demand for this type of facility offering a high-quality golf experience without having to commit to joining a private club,” says Costello.

The name of the course is inspired not only by its’ environment but by the perspective that elements of the earth, water, flower and wind have created, shaped and defined us. Located a little over an hour southeast of Seoul near the town of Yeoju, the golf course is situated on a beautiful forested mountainside. The course has been routed to take advantage of this environment and allow golfers to experience the contrast of dramatic vistas of the surrounding forest and distant hills as well as more intimate and secluded valley settings. Many of the golf holes feature meandering creeks, cascading waterfalls and tranquil lakes that not only add visual stimulus but add strategic obstacles.

The 9th and 18th holes wrap around a signature lake fed by a dramatic waterfall on axis with the clubhouse. The uniquely modern golf clubhouse provides a dramatic backdrop to the finishing holes and features well-appointed locker rooms and hot spring baths, restaurant, private lounges and outdoor dining deck that all offer commanding views over the golf course and distant mountains. A small lodge annex also provides overnight accommodations for golfers.

360 Country Club will become the 4th golf course designed by Brian Costello to open in Korea which includes the renowned Black Stone Jeju and Black Stone Icheon golf clubs.
